The new Glock 42 completely broken down before trigger work. Click on the image for a larger view.

Hey all, I did my first Glock 42 trigger job today. I have posted a photo below of the Glock 42 broken completely down. It is a great gun to shoot, very smooth trigger much better than the other 380’s in it’s category. It is comparable to the Kahr PM9 and the Kimber solo. It was very accurate at 25 ft with the stock Glock sights and great with follow up shots with very little perceived recoil. This would be a great pistol for a LEO backup or a very nice CCW summer carry gun.

August Gunsmith Specials

OK it is August 10th already and I haven’t come up with an August Special any suggestions?

***Glock Trigger Jobs normally start at $75.00 so from now until August 31st all Glock trigger jobs will start at $60.00***

Cominolli Safety

Hey All, I have been installing the Cominolli safety for some time now. The safety is a manually engaged safety lever that helps prevent unintentional discharges. It actually blocks the trigger movement allowing the slide to be cycled and the pistol loaded or unloaded with the safety on. It does all that without effecting any of the integrated Glock safeties’. One thing to keep in mind though, the safety requires a small cut in the frame, once installed you can remove the safety if you want but the cutout will always be there.

I normally average three to four safeties a year but for some reason I have done 12 installs in the last three months alone. I have added some photos of  installs on a Glock 23 and a Glock 27 below. If you decide to go with one of the Cominolli safeties I would definitely recommend you have a qualified Gunsmith do the install. Even if you purchase the jig you can still hack your frame up pretty easy.
