I have been doing some stippling work this week and figured I would post a couple of the finished projects. The first image is a Glock 23. It had a partial grip reduction with a 360 degree stipple we also cut tactical magazine cut-outs and stippled the slide cover plate to match the grip. The slide was refinished in a tactical grey baked on Cerakote finish. The owner plans on carrying this Glock and decided to stick with all stock Glock internal parts. You can click on the image for a larger view.
- M&P 9
The second image is a Smith & Wesson M&P 9. On this M&P we added a fibre optic front sight, stippled indexing points, stippled the front strap, stippled the back strap and slide plate and we also reduced the area around the magazine release. We also raised the trigger guard slightly at the front strap and smoothed for comfort. You can click on the image for a larger view.
Hey All, hope everyone had a great new year’s. I just want to let everybody know that we will be offering Cerakote as a firearm finish. We will be doing the application in-house which means a pretty quick turnaround time. You will have a choice of either air dry or baked on with too many colors to mention. We should be able to do everything from a Glock slide to a Remington shotgun. I hope to have everything up and running (full production) by May of this year. If you have any questions feel free to give me a call or send me an e-mail.
For more info on Cerakote check out http://www.cerakoteguncoatings.com/

- Ghost Ultimate Trigger Connector
I have lost count the number of trigger jobs I have done on the Glock’s. I would say my favorite trigger connector to use in my trigger jobs, other than the factory 3.5 lb connector would be the Ghost Ultimate. You can tell it is a quality piece by its looks alone although I still polish and de bur it before it is installed. The self cleaning groove is great for the shooter who doesn’t completely disassemble their trigger housing when cleaning and it really does seem to smooth out the pull. It gives you a better trigger reset that you can both feel and hear. I have yet to have a problem with any ghost connector which is more than I can say for some of the other brands. So if you’re looking for a good 3.5 lb connector you can’t miss with the Ghost Ultimate. Remember you can click on the image for a larger view.
Modified Remington 870 express
I am often asked the difference between a Remington 870 express home defense shotgun and The Remington 870 police shotgun. Other than the higher end milled receiver and aluminum trigger plate assembly it is pretty easy to bring your 870 express up to par with an 870 Police. I have a small kit that consists of ; a heavier sear spring, heavier carrier dog follower spring, machined extractor and a heavier duty magazine follower spring and follower. Listed below are some of the differences between the two shotguns. Continue reading
